I’ve spent more than two decades living alongside medicine as a physician spouse, through medical school, away rotations, residency, fellowship, career moves, and starting a family.
I’ve coordinated moves around training, learned new cities without a roadmap, and watched the demands of a medical career shape where and how our family lived.
Over time, I realized that experience could help other physicians and their families. Not because every physician family is the same. They aren’t. But there is a particular kind of relief in not having to explain why something matters.
My years as a physician spouse mean we can start the conversation a little further down the road.
Before real estate, I was an attorney. That expertise still shapes how I work: spotting issues, asking thoughtful questions, and carefully considering what else may need to be examined before making a decision.
That perspective became the foundation for Homes for Healers®.

When I was workshopping the idea that would become Homes for Healers®, my husband, Naveen, asked me a question that’s stuck with me ever since: Who heals the healer?
Physicians give everything to their patients. And the spouse gives everything to keep the household running, so the physician can keep giving. Somewhere in there, someone has to hold space for both of them.
That’s where Homes for Healers® comes in.
